黑暗民谣又叫阴暗民谣（darkfolk），曲调大多抑郁悲伤；创作者一般都有着某种中世纪的情结。这首《失败的歌》，Elliott继续以他以往的风格演唱，含糊不清，却又有一种受于压迫的感觉。
